Teddy 1st Birthday Card

This is the card that I made yesterday for my youngest nephew's 1st Birthday. Hope you all like it. :D

Teddy 1st Birthday Card

I used white card for my base card, which I then covered with a green and white patterned paper. I then threaded bright orange ribbon through 3 yellow buttons and tied it in bows. I then glued the 3 yellow buttons down the right side of the card, I also glued 2 orange buttons in between the yellow ones.

The teddy image was another of my sketches which I coloured in using coloured pencils (am hoping to upload it as a Digi for you all soon). Next I stamped an animal themed  "1" stamp onto a piece of white paper and coloured it in with coloured pencils. I then glued the stamped "1" to the center of the teddy's shirt, before then gluing the teddy himself to the card.

Lastly for the inside of my card I sketched out my sentiment "Happy Birthday" which I coloured in with coloured pencils. I also coloured another stamped "1" and sketched an "st" which I coloured in as well. I then cut out my entire sentiment and glued it onto the inside of the card.

Happy 1st Birthday Turtle Card

I made this card yesterday for my Mum to give my youngest nephew for his 1st Birthday. Hope you all like it :D

Happy 1st Birthday Turtle Card

I used white card for my base card which I covered with a pastel blue and white stripe paper.

The turtle image was another of my sketches which I coloured in using coloured pencils (am hoping to upload it as a Digi for you all soon). However I did not colour in his shell or hat, as I paper pieced these with pastel patterned papers. I then cut a "1" out of orange paper, outlined it with a black marker and glued it to the center of his shell. I then glued him onto the card. I also cut the "Happy Birthday" sentiment out of orange paper, outlined it with a black marker and glued it to the card.

For the inside of my card I cut a strip of pastel blue striped paper and glued it down the middle. Lastly I sketched out my sentiment "1 Today" which I coloured in with an orange pencil, cut out and glued to the inside of the card.

Mother's Day Card 2012

This year I made my Mum a quick Mother's Day card, as I just had no inspiration nor inclination to craft lol ;) However I was very pleased with how it turned out considering I made it because I had to, not because I wanted to ;) Hope you all like it :D

Mother's Day Card 2012

I used white card as my base card which I then covered with a lime green and gold print paper. Next I glued a black satin fern frond diagonally across the card.

I then attached a glitter butterfly diecut shape from Grant Archival's Grace Taylor range (which for all my fellow Aussie's is available at Big W stores) to the base of the black satin fern frond. I also glued a small pastel blue pearl heart embellishment to the top of the fern frond.

Lastly I used my labeler and metallic blue label tape to make the "Happy Mother's Day" sentiment which I then stuck to the top left corner of the card.

It's A Girl

Thought I had better give you all an update on the little bubs that is happily growing inside me :D
I am now 21 weeks along and had my 18 - 22 week ultra sound scan on Monday... Baby is doing extremely well and has a nice regular heart beat... And yes we decided to find out the sex, and yes she is a girl :D We have already decided on a name too... Maddison Ellen Spencer (as she will have her daddy's last name) :D

Whilst baby is well I have had a few trips to the Hospital and GP's due to a few bleeds... The DR's thought that the placenta might have been low, but Monday's ultra sound scan has confirmed that it is nice and high... We will find out more when I see my GP tomorrow and get some test results... But the DR's said I could just be super sensitive to all the stretching that is taking place down there... So finger's crossed that's all it is ;) Other than that I feel absolutely fine :D

Anyways thought I would share a pic from Monday's ultra sound scan with you all... This one was the best of them all...

My Apologies and Some Exciting News

Sorry I haven't been around much lately... Sorry to the Willow Sketchie Challenge DT that I missed last week's challenge too. I haven't been crafting much lately... Which brings me to my exciting news... I am 15 weeks pregnant. :D Baby and myself are well... However I have been very tired and it is taking me a bit to learn my limits... My craft mojo also seems to have run away of late. :( Hoping it returns soon as I have a few Birthday cards I need to make. ;)

This is a pic of our baby taken at my first ultra sound scan at 11 weeks and 4 days.

Peek-A-Bunny Easter Card

I have been sick with the flu all week, but no matter what I was going to get my entry for this week's Willow Sketchie Challenge done... And tonight I did just that. I once again used both the sketch and the theme. Hope you all like it. :D

Peek-A-Bunny Easter Card

I used white card for my base card which I covered with pink paper. I then cut 4 6cm x 6cm squares out of a white and pink patterned paper and stuck them onto the card. I embossed a piece of yellow paper using paw print embossing plates and then cut out a 8 x 8cm square.

I sketched a bunny picture onto a piece of white card, traced around it with a black marker, coloured it in with coloured pencils and trimmed around it. I then glued it to the embossed yellow paw print square and attached it to the center of the card. Lastly I threaded pink satin ribbon through 2 yellow buttons and tied a bow and glued one to the top left corner and the other to the bottom right corner of the card.

I would like to congratulate Claire from Willow Sketchie Challenge on her recent wedding and also thank her for a great sketch and theme. Good luck to all that enter. :D

Cupcake With Sprinkles Birthday Card

I finally managed to get my entry for this week's Willow Sketchie Challenge done tonight. I once again used the theme as well as the sketch. Hope you all like it. :D

Cup Cake With Sprinkles Birthday Card

I used white card for the base card, which I then covered with a plain pink paper. I then cut a square slightly smaller than the card itself out of a pink and brown spotted paper, and attached it to the card. I attached 2 pink and white spotted ribbons down the right side of my card and cut them both to form a "V". Next I cut a triangle out of pink paper and attached it to the bottom left corner. I then cut 2 different sized rectangles out of yellow card and matted them with pink paper.

To make the cupcake I first drew a cupcake onto a piece of brown metallic paper and cut it out. Next I cut a strip of pink polka dot paper and folded it like an accordion. I then trimmed and attached it to the bottom of the cupcake cut out. Next I attached the cupcake to the center of the larger yellow card rectangle. I then glued a red diamonte heart to the top of the cupcake and long white beads on for sprinkles. I then attached it to the card. Lastly I made the sentiment by writing "Birthday" onto the smaller yellow card rectangle using a black marker.

I was very pleased with how this card turned out and I would like to thank Lisa from Willow Sketchie Challenge for a great sketch and theme. Good luck to all that enter. :D
